Allow plenty of time for your Municipal/ Prefectural Residence Tax Return. / 市・県民税の申告は余裕を持って

Who is required to declare Municipal/Prefectural Residence Tax
(hereinafter residence tax)?
-Those who had a domicile in Misato City as of January 1, 2018

File your tax return to Municipal Tax Division by Thursday, March 15, 2018.
It can be submitted in person as well as by post.

Residence tax return is NOT necessary in any of the following cases:
1) Those who file a final tax return of your income in 2017 to the competent tax office.
2) Those who have no income other than employee’s one and whose employers submit
    a payroll statement to Misato City.
3) Those who have no income other than public pension 
    (except recipients of disability pension or survivor pension)
    and have no additional deductions.

What to bring for the tax return:
- Name seal (Tax return must bear filer’s name seal.)
- Filer’s ID (proving filer’s individual number and his/her identification)
  *Present filer’s ID at the tax return venue or attach a copy of his/her ID
    to the tax return form.
  <What can be the filer’s ID?>
    1) Individual Number Card (so called My Number card)
    2) Individual Number Notification and any of Residence card, driving
        license or other

- Documents proving your income and serving to assess your tax-deductible
  amount (such as certificate of income and withholding tax of your salary in
  2017 /Gensen-choshuhyo 源泉徴収票/, receipt of National Health Insurance
  Tax and tax-deductible certificate of national pension)

Your tax return can be filed even though you had no income, in case if you
apply for deduction or exemption of National Health Insurance Tax, Long-term
Nursing Care Insurance Premium, child care fee or other, or you need any
document such as tax exemption certificate (e.g. a foreign student or his/her
spouse who had no income in the previous year).

*Your tax return for RESIDENCE tax can be filed at the counter no.9,
  Ground floor of City Hall on the days other than above mentioned.
*NO tax return will be accepted at City Hall during on-site filing consultation
  period (from Monday, February 26 to Friday, March 2, 2018).
*As many filers are expected, allow plenty of time for your tax return.
