Explain the term
〇Fudasho
A sacred place to visit is a temple. Due to the custom of dedicating bills to the proof of worship, the name "Fudasho" was given.
〇Junrei (Pilgrimage)
A person who worships or pilgrimages to the sacred place.
〇Shikoku 88 kashoreijo (88 Shikoku pilgrimage Place)
Its calls "Ohenrosan" or "Shikoku hennro". A pilgrimage to the land related to Kobo Daishi Kukai, who opened the Shingon sect in the early Heian period.
Kobo Daishi Kukai is from Sanuki no Kuni(Kagawa Prefecture), and has been awared Koyasan(Wakayama Prefecture) and Toji Temple (Kyoto Prefecture) by the emperor, and has made various achievements. It is said that he practiced in the Shikoku region, and at that time he chose a temple and opened 88 sacred sites in Shikoku. People have been pilgrimages since the early Edo period, and many people are still pilgrimages.
