 This system provides consultation and support to those who are in need for their living according to their circumstances before their issues become more complicated and serious. The program also provides consultation on employment and other issues for those who have economic problems due to unemployment, etc., and provides ongoing support tailored to each individual's situation.

 This is a loan program that aims to provide low income households, households with disabilities and elderly households with loans and necessary counseling support to help them lead stable lives and achieve financial independence.

 This program provides short-term loans and counseling assistance to low income households with unforeseen expenses and temporary livelihood difficulties.

 Cho-kai and Jichi-kai are the most familiar community self-governing associations that are voluntarily organized by local residents for the purpose of creating a comfortable community.  It is a service that supports volunteer activities by providing consultation, information, lectures, training and lending necessary equipment and materials.

Accident Compensation for Volunteer Activities/ ボランティア災害補償

 ‘Misato City accident compensation for volunteer activities’ provides compensation to citizen groups based in Misato City in the event of an unexpected accident during such volunteer activities for social interests as social education, youth development, social welfare, and local community. The purpose of the program is to promote the sound growth and development of volunteer activities by citizens.

Citizen groups that wish to be covered by the Accident Compensation for Volunteer Activities do not need to pay the insurance premiums, however, prior registration is required in principle.

* Political, religious and profit-oriented activities are excluded.

Mutual Aid Traffic Accident Insurance/ 交通災害共済

 It is a mutual aid system that provides a solatium as a token of sympathy when an enrollee is dead or injured by traffic accident during the coverage period.

Those who are registered on a basic resident registration record of Misato City can enroll in.

 Apply at Community Safety Division or KIBOU-no Sato Koryu Center Shutchojo (branch office), Japan Post Bank, or post offices in Misato City. Insurance premium is 500 yen a year.

 The coverage period is from April 1 to following March 31 every year (If you enroll in Mutual Aid Traffic Accident Insurance system on April 1 or after, the coverage period will be started from the next day of enrollment to March 31.) Application starts from March 1. The solatium will be paid depending on the actual days required for medical treatment.

Dog Registration and Rabies Vaccination/ 犬の登録・狂犬病予防注射

 If you keep a dog at home, you are obligated to register the dog once in a lifetime and to have your dog be administered a rabies vaccination yearly. Be sure to put the dog license and vaccination tags with your dog’s collar.

Remember to bring your dog’s dropping back to your home, when taking the dog to walk.

Report to us when any of the following cases happens/ こんなときは届出を

  • When you are newly keeping a dog that has not yet registered, register it within 30 days. (A puppy should be registered on the 91th day or after from the birth.) <charged>

*Registration for microchipping dogs and cats can be made on line; therefore, you do not need to report to the City. <Reference: Ministry of the Environment official website>

  • When you have lost the dog license (tag) <charged >
  • When you have your dog be administered a rabies vaccine <charged >
  • When the dog’s owner has changed
  • When the dog’s owner changed his/ her address or location of the dog changed
  • When the dog was dead

Not to increase dogs and cats born under miserable circumstances/ 不幸な犬や猫を増やさないために

 Never abandon dogs and cats on the side of streets. If you become unable to keep your pet any longer or if you cannot keep additional newborn puppies or kitties, try to find new owners. Spaying and neutering surgery are solutions to reduce abandonment of dogs and cats. Please consult with your nearest veterinary hospitals (fees will be charged).

Permission is Necessary to Keep and House Animals/ 動物の飼育または収容には許可が必要です

 In the designated area, ‘Permit for breeding or housing animals’ is necessary to have the animals stated below in the following numbers or more. Misato City conducts an on-site inspection to determine whether the structure and equipment of the facility meet the public hygiene standards and issues a permit if the facility meets the standards set by Saitama Prefecture. For the application, a fee of 8,000 yen for each species of animal is charged.

For information on the criterion to permit etc., inquire at Environmental Sustainability Division.
